Environmental Training ServicesLLC is proud to offer safety classes for your organization. We have a host of programs that are key training courses for new hires or current employees. We would be glad to develop a package program for you that includes our most popular programs to present at your facility. Hazard Communications (HAZCOM): This course is designed to cover the guidelines established in the OSHA standard: 1910:1200. Students will gain an understanding of the hazards associated with working with hazardous materials. Additionally, they will learn to recognize hazard communication markings and learn the value of Material Safety Data Sheets. This program is often an annual requirement for employees or initial training for new hires. It makes an excellent component for our package program option. This class is currently offered as an on-site program only. Please contact our Training Coordinator to discuss the benefits of bringing this program to your facility.

Bloodborne Pathogens: In this program, employees will gain an understanding of the OSHA standard: 1910:1030. Students will learn about bloodborne diseases and their transmission, exposure control, and safe work practices. This program is often an annual requirement for employees or initial training for new hires. It makes an excellent component for our package program option. Decontamination Systems for Health Care Workers: Decontamination is an important process at every HAZMAT incident. This course reviews the importance of decontamination operations and covers safe practices in performing decontamination. Simple to sophisticated decon systems are reviewed as well as proper personal protective equipment (PPE). Class size is limited as “hands on” is a key component of this program. Incident Management: Every incident requires the use of an incident management system to organize the roles and responsibilities of responders (OSHA 1910.120). This course prepares managers and personnel in positions of responsibility for the duties of incident management. All functions of incident management are reviewed. This class is currently offered only as on-site training. Please contact our Training Coordinator to discuss the benefits of bringing this program to your facility.

Personal Protective Equipment: Personal protective equipment is the only safeguard responders have against the effects of hazardous materials. This course covers the different types of personal protective equipment available for HAZMAT responders. Topics covered include skin protection as well as respiratory protection. Class size is limited as “hands on” is a key component of this program. Lockout/Tagout: The lockout/tagout standard is one of the most violated OSHA standards. This course is designed for employees who service powered machines and equipment. Employees will learn their responsibilities to other employees, recognize hazardous energy sources, and control those sources with lockout/tagout methods. This program is often an annual requirement for employees or initial training for new hires. It makes an excellent component for our package program option. Back Safety: The goal of every employer is to provide a safe and productive workplace for every employee. This program is designed to train employees who lift, carry, load, and unload materials to work safely. Course attendees will learn: proper lifting techniques, injury prevention strategies, how injuries back occur, and how to work smarter. This program is often an annual requirement for employees or initial training for new hires. It makes an excellent component for our package program option. Eye Protection: More than 2,000 people injure their eyes at work every day! Employers naturally want their employees to work in a safe and productive environment. This course trains employees who use eye protection on the job to identify potential work activities that could potentially cause eye injury. Employees will also learn the value of protective eyewear, its maintenance, and the basics of first aid for eye emergencies. This program is often an annual requirement for employees or initial training for new hires. It makes an excellent component for our package program option. Flammable & Combustible Liquids: Many of the substances we use in our daily work lives are flammable or combustible. It is easy to take these items for granted and discount their dangerous properties. In this course, employees will learn to safely handle, use, and store flammable & combustible liquids. Course participants will learn to identify these products, their hazards, and safe handling practices to prevent accidents. This program is often an annual requirement for employees or initial training for new hires. It makes an excellent component for our package program option. Slips, Trips, and Falls: All employees are subject to slips, trips, and falls at their workplace. These injuries constitute a major portion of general industry accidents. This course is designed so that employees will gain an understanding of the potential slip, trip, and fall hazards at work. In addition, workers will gain knowledge in using stairs and ladders to avoid fall hazards as well as how to best eliminate slip, trip, and fall hazards in the workplace. This program is often an annual requirement for employees or initial training for new hires. It makes an excellent component for our package program option. First Responder : Coming Soon! This excellent program prepares employees to intervene in medical emergencies in the workplace or at home. Employees will be given instruction in the basic types of medical emergencies and gain an understanding of how they can assist someone in need of help. This program will be offered initially in Missouri only. Additionally, an annual Refresher program will be available. Class size is limited as “hands on” is a key component of this program.
